Almost everyone knows what is google and how to search the queries and get the answer but almost 90–95% of people don't know what is Google Dorking.
What the hell is google dorking!!!
Google Dorking or Google Hacking is a Technique that uses google search and other google applications to find vulnerability or security holes in the configuration and codes that websites are using.ie getting the results that are accidentally made public like user name password, webcam, etc;
When it comes to hacking, information gathering plays the main role, it is said that “Information is wealth”. let's see how search optimization can be done. for eg : let's take this example if we want the information of a burger shop we go to the search tab and type burger shop the result shows all burger shops but we want domino’s burger so we use optimization like site:domino’s.com by this the results show only the site related to domino’s or if we are searching soft copy of a book by a specific author we sometimes do not get the accurate answer so we use [ filetype:pdf name of the book with author name]by this you get only results with pdf.
now let's go a bit deeper now I want to see any sensitive information then I will use site:domino’s.com inurl:admin now I get any information that is related to admin in domino’s site. or if we want to search text related to admin or content containing the word admin then we can use site:domino’s.com intext:admin
now let us take the example of Starbucks website I want to find a login page so we can use site:starbucks.com intitle:login
so here we get all information on where logging can be done.
know we can use this sort of information and can proceed further, the same technique can be used to any website to find the information. but keep in mind do not dig deep into any websites without permission this may lead you into trouble.
